Mohammed Sadiq, said the <a class=\"st_tag internal_tag\" title=\"Similar Posts with Training\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blueprint.ng\/tag\/training\/\" rel=\"tag\">training<\/a> was part of their COVID-19 response <a class=\"st_tag internal_tag\" title=\"Similar Posts with project\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blueprint.ng\/tag\/project\/\" rel=\"tag\">project<\/a> sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have decided to focus attention on primary health care workers because they are at the highest risk following the rapid spread of COVID-19 in communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <a class=\"st_tag internal_tag\" title=\"Similar Posts with Training\" href=\"https:\/\/www.blueprint.ng\/tag\/training\/\" rel=\"tag\">training<\/a> becomes necessary because of the increase in community transmission of Covid-19,\u201d Sadiq said, adding that primary health centres are the first points of call\u00a0 if the community members feel any symptoms of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueprint.ng\/covid-19-group-trains-114-gombe-primary-health-care-workers\/\">Read more<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rural\u00a0Health Mission Nigeria, a non-governmental organisation based in Gombe has trained over 114 primary health care workers on infection, prevention and control of COVID-19.
