World Aids Day 2019

The Rural Health Mission Nigeria in Collaboration with the Nigeria Police Medics, Gombe State command organized a day free HIV counselling and testing for police personnel in Gombe to mark the world Aids Day 2019.The event started with a health lecture on the overview of HIV and AIDs including mode of transmission, sign and symptoms, access to treatment and ways of preventing the disease. The lecture also included a brief overview of Hepatitis B virus.

Over 50 persons were counselled and screened.

The Gombe State Police commissioner expresses delight and commended Rural Health Mission Nigeria volunteer for the collaboration.
