Maternal and Child Health Week ends but RHEMN’s free health service scheme continues in Gombe LGA

The Maternal and Child health week activities rounded up today at Nassarawo community in Gombe LGA. Thousands of under-five children have been dewormed and many more have received vitamin A supplement. Hundreds of pregnant women also received high quality micro nutrients.

The MANCHEW exercise just ended today. However, RHEMN’s comprehensive lifesaving scheme project will continue for the next couple of months. Women and Children under five years can still access free health service under this scheme.

We are looking for a qualified Social media strategist to join our team. You will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our web traffic and our organization awareness.

As a Social media strategist, you should have excellent multitasking skills to handle all of our social media accounts in a cohesive way. If you have a creative way of thinking and of presenting our activities through multiple social media channels, we would like to make you part of our team.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our organization’s web presence is aligned with our marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets
  • Manage, create and publish original, high quality content
  • Administer all organization social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content
  • Liaise with writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Facilitate client-organization communication (respond to queries, get reviews and organize chats and Q&A sessions)
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on web traffic
  • Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with organization professionals via social media to create a strong network
  • Train internal teams to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices

Requirements

  • Applicant must be willing to work as a volunteer
  • Proven work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager
  • Hands on experience using social media for public awareness
  • Understanding of web traffic metrics
  • An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field is an added advantage

RHEMN To train over 200 village health workers in Akko LGA, Gombe State

The RHEMN team today paid a courtesy call on the Coordinator PHC services in Kumo, Akko LGA of Gombe State. This meeting was to discuss the strategy and the implementation plan of the project “Comprehensive Lifesaving Scheme” in Akko LGA from January 2018.

The project is a 6 month pilot scheme that targets enroll pregnant women and under five children to access essential free healthcare services during the project period.

Some of the services to be delivered to the beneficiaries include; malaria testing and treatment, distribution of misoprostol tabs, clean birth kits, micro nutrients, deworming and vitamin A supplementation. The project also aims to train over 200 village health workers on lifesaving skills and management of third stage of labour.

The RHEMN organization is partnering with Lawanti Community Development Foundation and New Age Foundation Kumo for the implementation of this project.
