RHEMN Proposes free healthcare for 10,000 women and children in Mambilla

RHEMN have launched a campaign to provide free healthcare services to women and children living in remote communities on the mambilla plateau. The project which is proposed to commence by December 2017 which provide basic health services such as immunization, health education, antenatal care as well as antenatal drug supply, training workshops for health workers and health volunteers working in rural communities to update their knowledge on basic lifesaving skills for mothers and the newborn, infant feeding etc. The project also include access to quick malaria test at home and lifesaving antemalaria drugs, lifesaving delivery kits to safe the mother and the child during delivery.

The project is basically a citizen funded project and a community fundraising campaign has been launched to raise 2million naira in order to implement the project in 11 wards and about 30 communities in the plateau are expected to benefit from this project.
