Raise a Healthy Child

The community based Health Care Services approach tagged “Raise a Healthy Child” is a comprehensive medical intervention project seeking to provide basic health intervention and nutritional supplement to pregnant women and children below 5 year in rural areas across Nigeria.

This project will provide 6 month free antenatal drugs to pregnant women; screen and treat women and children for malaria; Deworm and provide vitamin A supplement to children across rural communities.

We provide antenatal drugs to ensure healthy pregnancy, provide lifesaving antimalaria drugs and malaria screening services for women and children to ensure appropriate treatment, we provide insecticide treated nets; we provide antiworm tablets and vitamin A supplement for children below 5 years. we also supply community based lifesaving sterile delivery kits to prevent maternal and neonatal infection during and after child birth.

We also train community health workers and traditional birth attendants basic skills in infant and newborn care and community based infant and child nutrition. we teach rural women how to use local resources to prepare highly nutritious child diet.
